The Power of Connection

“The strongest actions of a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine as a guiding light to others".

It’s been an entire year now of hosting the “Strong as a Mother” Coffee & Conversation evenings at Koffee Grounds in Melfort, SK, and I am simply amazed at the culture of connection it’s created! The raw, real and emotional experience of the evenings have created a sense of belonging and true and powerful awareness that we are not alone as women. We are not alone in our struggles of self-doubt or self-sabatoge.  We are not alone in our insane expectations of who we think we need to be or what it is we need to accomplish. We are also not alone in our joys, our successes and our triumphs.  We all experience life in so much of the same ways..connection and conversation with other women brings a deep awareness that this is so very true.

In celebration of 1 year of the event series, I’m SO stinking excited to be hosting 4 AMAZING women who have stepped into their own power to share their stories and inspire other women to do the same! Amanda Perrot, Kristin Pierce, Fay Thompson and Shelley Zwingli are regular, ordinary but powerful and passionate women just like you and I. They have fears, they have doubts but they also had this spark and inner voice that nudged them to step outside of their comfort zones and do something BIG. Here’s a tiny slice of who these women are and why I invited them to connect with you!

Amanda Perrot, owner of Grounded Goodness and Saskatchewan Author of “47 Days: A Journey Back Home” shares her journey of love, life, divorce and personal transformation in her book.  She wrote it after travelling Saskatchewan last summer and connecting with women in the province about all the things related to being a woman! Amanda gives all women a platform to use their voice and speak their truths by living authentically and sharing her raw, real emotions, thoughts and experiences with us.   Amanda’s book propelled me back into my own passion of reading and I love her honest voice and vulnerability to be her real, authentic self to the world. For so many of us, we lose our voice in fear of judgement and Amanda shows us that you can be ballsy and polite and kind all at the same time while slaying life, love and owning who you really are!

Kristin Pierce is an award winning Saskatchewan Children’s author and a dear friend of mine. Her books, “The Inner Compass that Could”, “Mayva O’Meere Creationeer” and “Magnus O’Meere Mind Pioneer” challenge kids (and adults!) to follow their inner passions, listen to their intuition and share their unique gifts with the world.  Kristin is also a BodyTalk Practitioner and Mindscape Instructor and teaches all across Canada. Taking back her power began for Kristin when she was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 21 and since then she’s continued to step outside of her comfort zone and embrace who she is as she follows her inner compass to bring love and light to others!

Fay Thompson is a Saskatchewan Author, Speaker, Intuitive Life Coach, Access Consciousness Facilitator & owner of Big Moose Publishing.  She has written 3 books to empower and inspire others to tap into their own inner power to manifest abundance in their lives.  Her vision is to show people that the stack of cards we are dealt in life are actually in our favour if we believe them to be! She’s passionate about helping women see what they can’t see in themselves to help you change what you thought you couldn’t.  I LOVE her latest book, “So help me God” as it gives a fresh, new insight into the divine connection and your connection with your inner self. Fay is gentle, genuine, and a beacon of light to other women to inspire us to create our own destiny..exactly the way we want it!

Shelley Zwingli lives in Melfort, Saskatchewan and has written a 3 part book series called “Volcanos, Butterflies & Jesus.” In her first book, she gets vulnerable and shares her Near Death Experience and 44 hours of waking visions she endured as well as the life-changing spiritual connection she was embraced with. Her second book shares the stories of 17 other people and the commonalities of life changing spiritual experiences.  Shelley will share how the power of using her voice to share her story with others has changed her life and guided her on a path of joy and abundance so we too can experience the same.

When we surround ourselves with others who are daring, who are vulnerable, and who are able to step outside of their comfort zones, we too receive tiny little nudges to do the same in our own lives. I do hope you consider joining us on Tuesday, November 5th to experience the magic of being surrounded by uplifting and courageous women. See you there my friends!
